It's been a pretty cold April and I've mostly been wearing my jumpers while the winter coats and scarves came back out. What May holds is anyones guess, but I'm hoping for warmer weather, while certain events happening in May dictate certain choices that I'm sharing here.
Mackintosh Soho Orange Nylon Packable Raincoat
Packable coats are so under rated. You never know when you might need them. It's worth having stowed away in your bag or leave in your car as the chances are you;ll need it sooner rather than later. This lightweight raincoat from Mackintosh is the ideal packable coat as not only is it stylish but it will keep you dry when walking between meetings or talking a brisk walk down the pub.

Private White VC Suede Overshirt
An ideal trans-seasonal suede overshirt in a lovely soft suede with studded button fastening. I can see this being worn over long-point collared polo shirt or T-shirt as well as lightweight knitwear. The prefect accompaniment to some high-waisted trousers such as Kit Blake or some Blackhorse Lane denim.

With such unpredictability with temperatures getting high and then dropping without any warning, you can't go wrong with an Extrafine Merino top. This Aurélien long sleeve buttonless polo shirt wants it to be warm for you, but affords the security of both warming and cooling qualities depending on what the weather feels like.

The Resort Co. Hacienda Sunglasses
Lets hope the sun comes out in May. If it does, then I think some new shades will give some necessary spring/summer vibes. There's something cool about transparent sunglasses and the fact that they can go with pretty much anything is a plus. The blue lenses add a bit of an extra x-factor.

Wingback Titanium Mechanical Pen
I love a mechanical pen and have had a few over the years since my university and graphic design days. The Wingback Mechanical Pen is a standout pen that has grabbed my attention with its elegant contemporary design – which has been created to last for decades. Machine turned from a solid bar of aerospace-grade Titanium, it is reassuringly weighty in the hand with a wide diameter to reduce writing fatigue and encourage time to be taken with every pen stroke. A single-handed twist locks the nib mechanism in place and every pen can be personalised with a laser engraved inscription along the length of the barrel.

Styrkr Energy Gels
Those of you who are into long distance running will know it's marathon season right now. I've been training for the Copenhagen marathon and have been going trialling a bunch of energy gels and protein bars to keep me going. After ordering various bundle packs, I've found that Styrkr are for me. I really like their carb mix drinks as well as the gels (although I'd recommend steering clear of the caffeine gel). The Nitro is perfect.
The gels and mixes are also suitable for cyclists.

LMNT Electrolytes
Continuing the running / exercise theme, I was introduced to LMNT at the end of last year and haven't looked back. The sodium heavy electrolytes take on the notion that you loose sweat when training and therefore need to replace them accordingly. The sachets can be mixed with water to varying taste preferences, while getting the same results.

Mackintosh Hutchins Wool Sweater
As previously mentioned, it's been a cold month in April and who's to say it won't be any different in May. Of course I'm hoping for the sun but it's not t-shirt and shorts weather yet in the UK, so getting a sweater with a bit of a pop might help me feel more inclined to believe Spring/Summer is round the corner. Hopefully on our doorstep.

Universal Works L/S Patch Shirt
Nowadays when I want a shirt it tends to be of a boxier fit – I want to be comfortable. I can use the dress shirts I've had for years whenever they may be called upon. However, I like the repaired nature of this Universal Works shirt giving it a lived-in sort of feel. The casual/smart going repurposed with stylish contemporary twist.

Niwaki ST-Type Tool Box
For any keen (or wannabe) gardener. I'm definitely of the latter, but with Spring in full flow I want to get my hands dirty and sort the garden out. The Niwaki ST-Type Tool Bool is a customisable tool box with cantilevered storage trays with removable compartment dividers. The metal dividers in the top trays can be configured in numerous ways, or removed completely. Can be used for general tools or garden specific.
